Where will my session take place?
-This is entirely up for us to decide together. It also depends on what type of session, and or time of year. We have so many options living in the Beautiful North Idaho, and Eastern Washington we have lakes, rivers, old buildings old farms, and parks. I have some favorite spots, but am open for new places. If you have property, lets go there. If you want them at your home lets do them there. If we are doing a Newborn sessions these are always done in my Downtown Spokane Studio during the day. But if you have a summer baby- than the option for outside becomes available as well. This is one thing we discuss in a pre consultation- our options or limitless.
What is the best time for my session?
-The Rule of thumb is before 10am and after 3pm, but this is just a rough idea- Because this changes with the changing season in North Idaho- IN Winter time, the best time for session are actually best in the warmer parts of the day- between 10am-3pm. But there is such a huge difference in morning sun and evening sun, and the location we shoot in. If you want a sunset feel, that best to schedule after the 3pm time frame. But if want fresh sun, than best to schedule in the morning time.
When should I schedule my newborn session?
- The best time to schedule newborns is 5 days old up to 10 days old. They are usually still very sleepy in this time frame, and baby ache has most likely not set in yet. It helps to have sleepy baby to get desired shots- they are easier to sooth and ease into those oh so cute poses. I take great time in newborn sessions, and realize that patients is a real key in these kind of sessions. Therefore it is not unheard of for these sessions to take up to 3 hours. I also only attempt newborn poses that both mommy and baby are comfortable with, and or in. So I encourage my clients to contact me with their rough estimate due date- I keep you on my list and try to keep a soft schedule for those weeks close to your due date. But as soon as baby arrives, I encourage a email, text or call to set your actual session up.
What time should I schedule newborn session?
-All Newborn sessions are booked for 10am in the studio, as this is the most sleepy time for baby.
Where will my Newborn session be, how long, and do I need to bring anything.
Also Newborn session typically last anywhere from 2-4 hours as I like to take my time and ensure a great variety for you to choose from. We stop and meet all babies needs during the session also. My studio is equipped with many props such as blankets, baskets, headbands, hats, wraps- that can be used at your session. Parents and Siblings may be included in Newborn portraits at no additional cost. What sets me apart from any other Newborn Photographers is my precise attention to all the details in posing, light placement and ability to showcase the best features of your sweet baby. I try to achieve a clean, simple, classic look to all my newborn portraits, with the emphasis on your sweet baby, as beautiful as they are.

When is my Creative Fee?
-Your Creative Fee is due at booking, I take cash, check or you are more than welcome to pay ahead of time via Credit card. Please note that all returned checks are subject to a $20 fee payable by check writer.
What does my session fee include?
Your session fee includes your Custom Portrait Session, the time and creative talent of photographer, the soft proofing and handling of your images, and either online gallery or in person ordering session.
What should I wear to my session?
- Keep it Simple- there is much debate on what is best to wear to a portrait session, but my main concern is that your comfortable in what your wearing- not to say wear your pajamas's but it will show in your images if the shirt you worn was scratching you! I will give some simple guidelines but again no need to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe or wear something that is uncomfortable or not your style.
Try to wear bright or vibrant colors, but try to avoid shirts with logo's or extremely busy designs- as these will distract from the subject, YOU! Jewel or muted toned fabrics or textures look best on almost all complexions. Try not to be matchy match, but do try and find colors that compliment each other. Layers are always very appealing and work best, because you can always remove a item or accessory and get a different look. Please do not all wear the same color, wearing different shades of a color is more appealing. But again Keeping it simple is best-
What about accessories or props?
-If your child has a item they love, or like to play with than bring it along. Whether its bubbles, old wagon, or a princess wand. If we are doing Birthday shots, than balloons and cake smashing is always fun. Tutu's, hats, and rain boots are always fun accessories- These are all things that can be discussed in further detail in the pre session consultations. If you want to have a special props in your session, like a old chair, old suitcases, or a family pet.. please don't be affraid to mention this!
What if I need to reschedule because of weather or sickness?
-If you, or a child becomes sick for the session than please contact me right way to reschedule for a later day. If the weather is not suitable for pictures, I will contact you via phone, or email to offer up other options or days for your session.
How soon do I get to see my pictures?
- Post Processing of your images can take from 14-21 days After this time I will email you with your gallery and private password for you to view and choose your images for purchase. Please feel free to share this with family and friends, as they can make purchases as well. During the busy season, sometimes this timeline can be pushed back, but you will always receive prompt notice of such delays.
Also I sometimes (not always) will and can provide a sneak peak, via my blog or Facebook. These are not guaranteed and solely at my discretion. Also if Client Agreement as not been signed and returned, than both previews and galleries will not be provided, until its complete and returned.
How long will my gallery work?
-Your gallery will be available for you and family to view for 72 ours 3 days. If more time is needed than a $50 fee is required to upload images again.
How long will you have my images?
-Completed Sessions are archived for 30 days if no order is placed then they are purged. Sessions that have placed orders and paid for will be archived for 90 days and than will be purged.
How Soon will I get my order?
-After order is placed
CDS/DVDS are available for pick up within 48-72 hours. Print/Press products will be available for pick up 10 days after. Print/Press product fee's are due when order is placed. Payment arrangements can be made, if you wish to not pay online via paypal. Also if you want your order to be mailed to you there is a s&h fee to do so.
Do you Take payments?
- At this time the only payment arrangements I can take are for Baby Grow Packages- usually half due at first session and remainder due at second session. I do however understand how life can be, so please feel free to contact me directly about possible payment arrangements.
What if I have a Gift Card, how long does it last?
-Gift cards are good for 1 year from the date purchased. If you however are unable to use this Gift Card by the year end, than please contact me directly before Gift Card expires to extend or set up a session soon to use it. Also you always have a option to purchase more images from your session, than what is included in your gift card.
